Deadly Buda's European Vacation (April-May 2006)
| Frankfurt, Germany - Dom takes off and I visit my sister, Jennifer, and her husband, Thomas, in Mommenheim, Germany - outside Frankfurt. First I had to take a picture of my sister underneath her street sign because I have sent so much manga and anime to this street over the years I needed to document it. Next we take the train/bus to the home of the Euro...Frankfurt! I hope to get many more of these so I need a picture as well. Next was an amazing treat...The German Postal Museum! Recently renamed the Museum of Communication Systems. It documents how German society communicated over the centuries up to the present day. There were amazing working phone systems, postal vehicles and a special exhibit called "Your Money or Your Life" about robbery to the present day. That bombed out car is from the biggest bank heist in world history. Their art exhibit is suprisingly awesome as well. Below are some communication-related art by Salvador Dali and Christo. They had the best Degas I've seen my whole trip (including the Orsay) and then last but not least is my sister looking at the stamp collection. | |||
